Knowledge and human and institutional capacity are the foundation of sustainable development.
Sudan has a wide base of expertise and talent, inside the country and abroad, in development, economics, public administration, technology, research, education and many other fields. The Sudan Policy Advisory Group was created to offer an institutional space that brings part of that expertise together and encourages cooperation, knowledge exchange and joint work.
We believe that knowledge and human and institutional capacity are essential to sustainable development. We are therefore building a platform that combines research, practical experience, learning and partnership, and that allows our members and partners to contribute to initiatives, programmes and knowledge products of practical value.
Our approach is not to offer ready-made solutions. It is to listen, to learn, to cooperate, and to draw on a wide range of expertise and experience.
We are committed to work that rests on professionalism, integrity and evidence, and that takes account of the real contexts and needs of the institutions and communities we work with.
Through research, capacity development, technical assistance, knowledge exchange and partnership, we aim to make a practical contribution to Sudan's development priorities, while learning from regional and international experience.
