Strategic Planning: research and expertise for long-term planning
Strategic planning is a core pillar of our work. Through Sudan Vision 2030, an independent SPAG initiative, we contribute research, analysis and technical expertise to the preparation of long-term strategies and plans, and to identifying the steps needed to implement them on the basis of careful data analysis.
We contribute to the development of detailed implementation mechanisms and clear performance indicators for measuring progress. We involve relevant stakeholders at each stage of the planning work we take part in, so that different perspectives are brought together and cooperation is effective.
We see effective strategic planning as an essential foundation for sustainable development. Our approach is inclusive, participatory and data-driven. It focuses on long-term strategies that respond to immediate needs while taking account of future challenges.
How we work
Data-driven planning
We use data analysis to guide our research and planning work, so that the options we put forward rest on accurate, up-to-date information.
Stakeholder engagement
We involve public institutions, the private sector, civil society organisations and local communities in the planning work we contribute to.
Evidence-based proposals
We draw on rigorous research and international good practice to develop planning proposals that address complex challenges in a sustainable way.
Continuous monitoring and evaluation
We propose clear indicators, track progress regularly and recommend adjustments where needed, which supports transparency.
Flagship initiative
Sudan Vision 2030
An independent initiative contributing research, analysis and technical expertise to long-term strategic planning. It develops multi-stage strategic proposals related to Sudan's development priorities and contributes to strengthening the capacity of public institutions, drawing on research, planning and regular monitoring.
